அன்னை தெரஸா - தெரிவது என்ன?

முழுசா படிக்காம என்னை குற்றம் சொல்லாதீங்கப்பா!

இந்திய பத்திரிக்கைகளில் வந்ததானு தெரியல. அன்னை தெரஸாவும், அவரின் சேவையும், கடவுள் பக்தியும் அறியாதவர்கள் இந்தியாவில் இருப்பது கடினம்.

கடவுள் இருக்காரா என்பது, நமக்கெல்லாம் எப்படி பெரிய புதிரா இருக்கோ (சரி, atleast எனக்கு), அதே மாதிரி தான் இவங்களுக்கும் இருந்திருக்கு! கடைசி வரைக்கும்!! தன் கடவுள் நம்பிக்கையின் மேல் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாமல் இருந்திருக்கிறார்கள்..

இதோ அவர் எழுதிய கடிதம்

"Lord, my God, who am I that You should forsake me? The Child of your Love — and now become as the most hated one — the one — You have thrown away as unwanted — unloved. I call, I cling, I want — and there is no One to answer — no One on Whom I can cling — no, No One. — Alone ... Where is my Faith — even deep down right in there is nothing, but emptiness & darkness — My God — how painful is this unknown pain — I have no Faith — I dare not utter the words & thoughts that crowd in my heart — & make me suffer untold agony.

So many unanswered questions live within me afraid to uncover them — because of the blasphemy — If there be God — please forgive me — When I try to raise my thoughts to Heaven — there is such convicting emptiness that those very thoughts return like sharp knives & hurt my very soul. — I am told God loves me — and yet the reality of darkness & coldness & emptiness is so great that nothing touches my soul. Did I make a mistake in surrendering blindly to the Call of the Sacred Heart?"

இது ஒரு சாம்பிள் கடிதம். இது போல தன் நம்பிக்கை பற்றி சந்தேகங்களை பல கடிதங்கள் எழுதியதாகவும், அதை வேளியே வெளியிடாமல், அழித்து விட வேண்டிக்கொண்டதாகவும் சொல்கின்றது அந்த article.


என்னடா இது? அப்படினு ஒரு நிமிஷம் முழிக்க தோணுது.

அப்படினு World Staatistics சொல்லுது. இதெல்லாம் நடக்கும் போது எங்கப்பா கடவுள்? ஏன் இவங்களை எல்லாம் காப்பாத்தல? (மேல உள்ளது சின்ன லிஸ்ட்.. இன்னும், பசினால சாகிறவங்க, suicide அப்படினு நிறைய இருக்குல!)

என்ன சொல்ல வர? கடவுள் இல்லைனா? அப்படினு கேட்கறீங்களா? அது தான் இல்லை!

காந்தி, நேரு முதல், அன்னை தெரஸா வரை, எல்லாரும் நம்மளை போன்ற சாதாரண மனிதர்கள் தான். இந்த மாதிரி சந்தேகங்கள் எல்லார்க்கும் எழும். அன்னைக்கு இவ்வளவு சந்தேகம் இருந்தாலும், ஏழைகளின் குரல்களுக்கு செவி கொடுத்து, அவர்களுக்காக பாடுபடாம இருந்தாங்களா? கடவுள் இருக்காரானு எனக்கே தெரியல, நாம எதுக்கு நல்லது செய்யனும்னா இருந்தாங்க? இல்லை. She at her core believed in goodness, believed in helping others. That makes her great. It is the perseverence, knowing the odds. It is the trait of not giving up.

கண்டிப்பா அவர்கள் canonize செய்யப்பட்டு, saint ஆக அங்கீகரீக்க படுவார்கள் என வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுவோம். எந்த கடவுள் கிட்ட வேண்டுகின்றோம் என்பது முக்கியமில்ல. நாம எவ்வளவு நம்பறோம்னு கூட முக்கியம் இல்லை! (சரி கொஞ்சம் hypocrisy என ஒத்துகிறேன், but, her acts win over her thoughts), என்ன செய்யறோம் என்பது தான் முக்கியம்.

And for the record, I am not a fan of religious conversions and personally consider them a killer of cultures. I am not in favour of preisthoods either, or foreign funded religious institutions or missionaries..But then, let us leave it fo a future post...

தினமும் பசியினால சாகிற ஏழைகள் மத்தியில், பதவிக்கும் பணத்துக்கும் அலையும் மற்றவர்கள் மத்தியில் வாழ்ந்த அன்னைக்கு இந்த சந்தேகங்கள் எதோ நியாபகப்படுத்துகின்றன. இதே போன்ற சந்தேகங்கள் இன்னொருத்தருக்கு வந்துச்சு. ஆனா அவர் ஞானம் பெற்று புத்தரானார்.

இதுல இன்னொரு பாடம், இதெல்லாம் பாத்தா, she is no different from one of us. Great People are not born! People raise to greatness by their actions. She rose and she deserves it.

அதே போல நம்மளாலும் முடியும். நன்முயற்சி மனிதரையும் தெய்வமாக்கும். இங்க இருந்து ஆரம்பிக்கலாமே..
